 How does a 5K Race make a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever? Through the fundraising efforts of every participant.  

 

Get started with your Participant Center!  Your Participant Center includes your very own customizable fundraising web page with email templates to help you solicit and collect donations.  Donations collected in the form of cash or checks must be mailed or turned in to the Memorial Affiliate Office using the Fundraising Form.

Matching Gifts: Matching gifts will not appear in your fundraising thermometer, but will count toward your fundraising prize level if the funds are received by the deadline.  The steps below will help you get the most out of your fundraising efforts through matching gifts. 

  1. Does the company have a matching gift program?  Check this potential matching gift companies site or contact the company directly.
  2. Request a Matching Gift. After you have made an online, check or cash donation, you need to initiate the matching gift process with your company. 
  3. Designate “Susan G. Komen Memorial Race Series" as the recipient 
    (4700 N. University St., Suite 92; Peoria, IL 61614-5849; Tax ID 37-1286285).  
    Matching gifts must indicate the name of the participant to receive proper credit.
  4. Wait for Processing. Depending on the company's processing time it, may take up to three months to receive matching gifts and post them to your Participant Center.

Fundraising Rewards & Prizes!  

Rewards Program: Earn great prizes with our new fundraising rewards program!  Start earning rewards when you reach $250 in donations. After the fundraising deadline, redemption coupons will be mailed to al fundraisers who qualify for a reward.  Information as to where and how to redeem rewards will be included.

  • Top Fundraiser Awards will be presented to the Top Fundraising Individual and Top Fundraising Team on Race Day.
    ◊ Top Race Fundraiser wins a round-trip ticket to anywhere American Airlines flies in the continental United States. 
  • Largest Teams Recognition will be given to the largest team. 

  • Top Fundraising Teams will be invited to a VIP Team Tent stocked with coffee and donuts for just you and your team.

$10 from 10 people to help find the cures for breast cancer. Can you raise $100? It's simple, if each of the expected 25,000 Race participants asks 10 people to donate at least $10, each Race participant will raise $100, we would then have $2,500,000 to fund programs in our area! What an amazing challenge!
